Argo Conquest Outfitter: The Ultimate Vehicle for Outdoor Excursions
Whether your business offers hunting trips, wildlife excursions or support for backwoods competitions, you need to offer something that your customers can’t get themselves. With a Conquest Outfitter, you can give these customers access to the outdoors well beyond what you get with a normal off-road vehicle. It also makes travel faster by letting you cut across water and steep terrain. What can this Conquest do for your business?
Power
The 800 comes with a Kohler Aegis EFI engine that makes 40 HP. This engine is liquid cooled, which means it’s compatible with Argo’s heater accessory. The heater uses coolant to warm the cabin, just like the heater in your car. The 950 has an air-cooled Vanguard EFI V-Twin. With an output of 40 HP, it’s the most powerful engine ever offered in an Argo.
These engines are paired with an updated Admiral transmission. The new Instant Torque Clutch and Instant Torque Drive System give this new gearbox the low end torque of the old HT transmission, the top speed of the ST drive system, and better acceleration at all speeds.
Features and Improvements
The Outfitter gets a new 8.5 steel fuel tank with a fuel gauge built into the instrument cluster. Auto chain lubrication comes standard. Improvements to under hood insulation and airflow help keep the engine and the cab cool.
Up front, you’ll find a cargo rack that can carry up to 50 lbs, a brushguard, and a winch that can pull up to 4,500 lbs. Steel beadlock rims allow for lower tire pressures, improving traction and ride quality.
Payload and Towing
The Conquest Outfitter seats up to 6 people on land, and two on water. The 850 can carry up to 1,070 lbs. on land and 470 lbs. on water. The 950 can carry up to 1,170 lbs. on land and 470 lbs. on water. Both vehicles can tow up to 2,000 lbs. Argo offers amphibious trailers that let you haul equipment without limiting your XTV’s off-road and water capabilities.
Camouflage
This year, Argo is offering TrueTimber Prairie camouflage. This mimicry-based camo makes it hard for game animals to pick out your vehicle in any environment. This makes it effective in forests and near waterways, letting this single pattern replace both of Argo’s previous camo patterns.
