Argo Conquest 8×8 Outfitter XTi
Why Argo?
An Xtreme Terrain Vehicle combines a boat hull with an unusual take on UTV suspension design. Instead of using long travel shocks and springs, the Conquest uses 8 giant low-pressure tires to absorb impacts. This makes the hull easy to seal, and it reduces ground pressure, letting the Outfitter roll over soft surfaces that UTVs would get stuck in. Since the axles and engine mounted at the bottom of the frame, the center of gravity is very low, making a roll-over far less likely.
For hunters and fishermen, the advantages are obvious: You can cross any type of water without needing a dock, handle inclines that would be unsafe in other vehicles and drive over mud, sand, and ice with ease. With these obstacles out of the equation, it’s a lot easier to track your prey, whether you’re going after waterfowl, fish or big game.
Everything You Need for a Long Hunting Trip
Worried about banging up your vehicle? There’s a full-length skid plate to protect the underside and a brush guard to protect the front end. If you do manage to get in a jam, you can pull yourself out using the front-mounted 4,500 lb. Warn winch. A rear receiver kit lets you pull up to 2,000 lbs. (907 kg,) or it can be used with the included rear entry step to make it easy to get in and out of the back of the XTV.
Climb in and you’ll find space for up to 6 people with high-backed premium seats for all day comfort, handrails for rear passengers when going over rough surfaces and heated hand grips for the driver front passenger to help them stay comfortable in cold weather.
Between the front and rear seats, there’s a Sure Grip gun rack that can store four rifles or be converted to rack bows. Up front, dual LED headlights make it easy to see at night, while floodlights can provide lighting for your campsite. Don’t want to be seen? This vehicle comes painted in Mossy Oak’s Break Out Infinity camo.
Power in an Easy to Use Package
This XTV is powered by a 30 hp Kohler Aegis ELH775 which is paired with a 60 amp alternator to power accessories. The engine drives Argo’s Admiral transmission and comes equipped with standard gearing, good for a top speed of 17 mph (27 kph) on land and 3 mph (5 kph) on water. The Admiral’s variable braking system makes this vehicle feel like it steers like a standard UTV. A heavy-duty drive belt and an automatic chain lubrication system ensure reliability while reducing maintenance.
The Conquest Outfitter XTi has a maximum payload of 1,200 lbs. (544 kg) and 6 passengers on land, and two people and 700 lbs. (318 kg) on water.
